CMF hosted a well-received a Virtual Field Trip to the California Missions and Presidios for every fourth grader in the state. It was truly a special day on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. This private virtual experience took students on a unique and exciting journey through early California history visiting several sites along California's Mission Trail.

This virtual field trip was designed to enhance the current fourth grade curriculum on California history by introducing students to the Native Story, the Mission Story and the Maritime adventures of our past. All Fourth Grade Classrooms across the state of California were invited to attend this virtual classroom event free of charge. Teachers registered their class on the CMF website with an email address in order to gain access to this virtual field trip.

Over 450 classrooms in California were able to attend the California Missions Virtual Field Trip on February 10, 2021.  CMF will host our next California Missions Virtual Field Trip on March 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
