2019 - 13th Year of All Aboard the Bus Program

CMF Embarks on Its 13th Year of Sending 4th Graders on Imprtant Field Trips to Their Local Missions

For the 13th consecutive year, the California Missions Foundation is sending fourth grade students on field trips to their local mission through its annual "All-Aboard-the-Bus" Field Trip Grant Program; the field trips are currently taking place now through June. The "All-Aboard-the-Bus" Program provides a unique opportunity for these students whom might otherwise not have an opportunity to visit a mission. Mission field trips enforce important lessons about early California history. In all, CMF, thanks to support from its partner foundations will be sending dozens of schools and more than 4,000 students on field trips to visit and learn about the California Missions. These field trips are made possible through the generosity of our partner Foundations, William H. Hannon Foundation, The Upjohn California Fund, Pebble Beach Company, Nancy Buck Ransom Foundation and the Monterey Peninsula Foundation - host of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

The Application window for the 2019-20 school year opened March 1, with an application submission deadline of October 31, 2020.

Our CMF Education Coordinator Gonzalo Sarmiento received several letters from classrooms that had recently visited a Mission during the "All Aboard the Bus" Field Trip Program.
